Udemy Courses Performance Analysis
An interactive Power BI dashboard that turns raw Udemy course data into actionable insight — helping course creators, learners, and platform managers make better decisions on pricing, engagement, and content strategy.
The Problem & Key Questions
E-learning platforms host thousands of courses, but stakeholders often struggle to identify what actually drives success. This dashboard answers:
- How much revenue is generated by month, and which periods perform best?
- How are students distributed across months and lecture segments?
- What is the course distribution across levels — Beginner, Intermediate, Expert, All Levels?
- How do free vs. paid courses compare in availability and popularity?
- What are the most popular courses by number of students and reviews?
The Dashboard
- KPIs overview: number of courses, average price, total revenue, students, and engagement rate.
- Revenue analysis: total revenue by month, highlighting seasonal trends.
- Student trends: student counts by month and lecture segment.
- Course distribution: donut charts for free vs. paid and course level.
- Top 5 courses: ranked by students and reviews.
A dynamic X-axis lets users switch a single visual between Subject, Level, Price Segment, Lecture Segment, Duration, and Payment Status, with drill-downs on the donut and line charts.
